Christian Book Expo

If you're in the Dallas area March 19-22, 2009, you might want to sign up to attend the Christian Book Expo, a rare national Christian book fair sponsored by publishers being held at the Dallas Convention Center. There will be tons of books and lots of authors there.

A couple of things of interest:

On Friday night and Saturday night there will be screenings of the film, Collision, a documentary of the Hitchens-Wilson debate. On Friday night Hitchens and Wilson will be there, signing copies of their book, Is Christianity Good for the World?

Christianity Today is sponsoring several author panels.
  • What is the Gospel? (Bock, Taylor, Tchividjian, Stearns)
  • A Guided Tour of Heaven and Hell (D. Piper, Storms, Packer, Alcorn)
  • Living Christianly in a Post-Christian Culture (Crouch, Miller, Barton, Frazee, DeMuth)
  • The Emerging Church (McKnight, DeYoung, Jones, Harris Bros.)
  • Does the God of Christianity Exist, and What Difference Does It Make? (Strobel, Hitchens, Wilson, Craig, Denison)
In addition there are workshops (I'll be doing one on the Temple in the ESVSB) and author signings.
