At the First Things blog Joseph Bottum has been reflecting on the unraveling of the Duke rape case.
From a post a couple of weeks ago: "In a recent article, Brodhead suggested it would take two to five years for the school to recover. Duke should be so lucky. I imagine it will be much longer before Duke ceases to be known as the school that throws its students overboard at the least sign of storm clouds. . . . No parents I know will be sending their children to Duke University for a long, long while."
From today's post: "College is time for learning things, and there have been several lessons taught by the accusations of rape made against the Duke University lacrosse players. The first is not to go to Duke."
