Graham Kennedy (of the Bible Illustration Blog) interviews Leen Ritmeyer (an archaeological architect who worked for 20 years in Jerusalem and specializes in reconstructing ancient buildings and objects and cities from biblical times). As I've mentioned before, Dr. Ritmeyer is the reconstruction expert behind the paintings in the ESV Study Bible, and it's been an immense privilege to work with and learn from him.
Ritmeyer's blog is here. For those in New York, The Yeshiva University Center for Israel Studies is having its inaugural conference on May 11. It will feature Ritmeyer's models, and he'll deliver one of the lectures: "Envisioning the Sanctuaries of Israel: The Academic and Creative Process of Archaeological Model Making."
