Little House on the Prairie

ABC/Disney are currently airing a number of Saturday-night episodes of a new Little House on the Prairie. It follows the books more closely and is more realistic and gritty than the Michael Landon series from the '70s.

Filmed on location in a pristine region of Calgary over more than four months, the epic production of Little House on the Prairie recaptures the scope and magnitude of the frontier and recreates the literary saga with painstaking accuracy. Additional episodes will air on subsequent Saturdays, April 2, 9, 16 & 23 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET each night).

The director of the limited series is 29-year-old David Cunningham, who is also the director of one of my favorite films--and perhaps the best Christian movie ever made--To End All Wars.
