ESV Wordled

Wordle is a program "for generating 'word clouds' from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text."

As the ESV Blog points out, Andrew (at The Crazy Australian blog), took the ESV New Testament and created a Wordle of the most prominent words:

And David Reimer sends along his Worldle of the (ESV) Psalms:

OK, going back to work after this.

Here's the first 3 chapters of Pleasures of God. This thing's pretty cool.

Isn't it just amazingly awesome that the biggest words in the "Whole ESV Bible" wordle are "Lord," "God," and "Said"?

Think about that. Our God is the Lord of all... who speaks!

Praise God for His merciful desire and capability to disclose Himself and communicate His fullness. Praise God for His revelation.

I showed the entire ESV one in Sunday school yesterday. The reaction was audible. When I put it up, no one knew what it was. I explained what a word cloud was and there was some hummms. When I explained what the image on the screen was the room buzzed. People started point out things on there.

Cool, cool link. Thanks Justin.
