Blog Book Reviews

16 comments | Permalink
If you are interested in reviewing Overcoming Sin and Temptation (ed. Kapic and Taylor) and/or Suffering and the Sovereignty of God (ed. Piper and Taylor), here's what you can do:
  1. Send us an email at blogbookreviews@gmail.com, letting us know which book you'd like to review. (It's fine if you want both.)
  2. We'll email you a free PDF of the book(s). We won't send out any more PDFs after October 31, so please send your requests before then.
  3. If you post a blog review, then please cross-post it at Amazon.com.
  4. Then send us the blogreview link + your snail-mail address, and we'll send you a free hardcopy of the book(s).
If you want to read the entire book before you review it, that's great! But another suggestion would be to read and review three chapters from the Suffering book and/or the Introduction + just the Mortification book.

Happy reading and reviewing!

Put me down for both (my email has been sent!). I really look forward to getting a go at these. I did the Sex and the Supremacy of Christ review as well and was greatly blessed by that book.

Amy,
As I learned from university psychology, "Delayed Gratification" pays off.

You can do that? And to think that I've been actually reading whole books all this time!

Justin, I got my PDF yesterday. I haven't had a chance to start reading yet the book is typeset beautifully!

Do you have a cut off date for the blog review? I'm in school and so I won't get to read for myself for a few months. What's the latest I can get the hard copy for the review?

Any possibility of getting an autographed one? ;o)

After producing pornography for 9 years, I recently surrendered myself to God (read my story on my blog or on XXXChurch.com's blog). Since that time I've had several book recommendations by numerous Christians. I have no idea where to start. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance. I actually blogged this question today, so feel free to comment in that thread if you feel comfortable doing so. That way I have a permanent record I can look back on.

Thanks in advance.

Sweeet books Justin. Thanks for the chance to read them. I actually ended up enjoying the Suffering Book more than Owen's works. Probably because I am going through Jerry Bridges stuff right now, which has some similar themes.

While I've sent an email, I wanted to make sure you got the message. Please put me down to review both books.

Thanks.
