In his Public Square feature of First Things (not yet online) Richard John Neuhaus briefly looks at Brian McLaren and the emergent movement, and doesn't like what he sees: "Postmodern, postcolonial, emerging, viral networking--it's mostly the hype and chatter of religious pandering to a neophiliac culture."
