John Roberts' Son

Hats off to Supreme Court nominee John Roberts (and President Bush, too) for remaining focused last night!
While President Bush was announcing the nomination, Roberts' little boy broke free from his mom and decided to dance a jig in front of the presidential podium! The live network cameras didn't show it.

That's funny. It would explain why President Bush seemed distracted for a moment during his brief speech last evening.
It also reminds me of Giuliani's son's antics during his inaugural address.

I wonder if he got a spanking...
Too funny! And cute too! Hey, their real people like all of us... kids do and say the darndest things sometimes, eh!
I agree, hats off to the both of them, and to Mrs. Roberts for staying calm as well.
Besides... that is nothing in comparison to the number of judges who dance around the law, with whom Mr. Roberts will surely encounter sitting on the court.
If he can't lay down the law with his son, how do we expect him to work in the highest court in the land??? ;)
I see another SNL skit coming.
I noticed President Bush smiling, as he said something about the children, and sort of looked their way. But, the cameras never showed them, and now, we know why.
He was just being a child. AND, he has the right to be, unlike some of those about to put Mr. Roberts through agony, because they don't like what he stands for or doesn't stand for!
Ah, thank goodness for a little humanity..innocence...and simplicity in the White House...that's great. Great smile for the morning,Steve...thanks!

Both their children are adopted... FYI. What a funny jig!
If the networks didn't show it, how did you get those images?
By the way, what did the President say about the kids?
Kids do not understand formality, which is a good thing, that's why they embrace the world with no fear. It's obvious that at least he's a happy child with a vivid imagination. Some children just require more attention then others. He's a ham. For a future judge at least he is going home looking at the future in his own children.

You all think it's great that Bush and Roberts were able to "hold it together," but I think they should have held back on the speeches and turned the cameras to the kid! We already know what's on these guys' minds... let the kid have a go on live television! When did we get so serious as a nation that it became unacceptable to see a cute little kid rocking out instead of listening to a rich white landowner talk about his rich white friends?
