I don't know about a wall of separation, but I certainly think discernment is desparately needed. I think many evangelicals fail to realize why this movie is offensive to many believers.
With his permission, I posted some interaction with a writer at Christianity Today online about the movie on my ABF blog at www.homebuildersonline.wordpress.com which reveals some of their (IMO) undiscerning thinking.
