Jim Geraghty at NRO's "The Campaign Spot" has a helpful explanation of what, at root, has happened in this financial crisis.

A great bedtime story for your kids tonight.........

Update: Geraghty responds to readers' critiques.

EVERYbody's got a finger in this one.

and i have to admit that i've picked on glen beck a bit, but he had a great article on this a few months back that we're watching play out in real time right now.

the second article here argued that the irresponsible brothers got 'no punishment' - they lost their houses, right? i think everybody knew in bush's first term with alan greenspan that the economy was barely treading water above a serious recession only because (a) interest rates were kept ridiculously low, so that (b) a zillion houses could be built.

i wonder what revealing anagrams can be made from 'housing starts are up'...

on a personal note, i started looking into online graduate programs in public policy. i think all of us need to educate ourselves and take the responsibility for running the country back from the charlatans and celebrities and idiots-with-microphones and various and sundry windbags who we've delegated it to the last decade or so.

everybody's poop stinks on this one, it seems. i wish there was a big flush handle on the side of the Capitol building...

can we just say 'none of the above' on nov 4?

Does anyone find the phrase "drunken bender" in the context of a children's story more than a wee bit humorous?

Hey greg!

I'm the guy from the past CHBC weekender who mentioned I saw you standing behind mohler (Monday Morning, (8 AM).

Man... I'm seeing your name all over. More power to ya, more glory to his name.

Don't let Mike McKinley's cracks get the best of you.
