One of my favorite preachers in the world is David Prince.
Prince is the pastor of Ashland Avenue Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky, where he has served since 2003. Ashland Avenue is a local church making a world impact; they are doing front-lines missions work in taking the gospel to the nations, and have been at the forefront of creating a church culture conducive to adoption and orphan care.
I commend all of Prince's preaching to you—his sermons are passionate, convictional, and Christ-centered—but want to point you to two sermons in particular. "David and Goliath We Never Knew You" (1 Sam 17) is an excellent example of preaching Jesus from the Old Testament, and "The Manliness of Adoption" (James 1:27) calls on men to tap in to their "rescuing instinct" in caring for orphans.
Prince is also a clear writer. For how the Book of Judges can be read and preached as a Christian text, check out "Christ as Warrior-King" (pgs. 16-17), and his two part series at the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood (CBMW) site entitled "Diamond Dads" is also worth a look (part 1; part 2).
And if you ever find yourself in Lexington on a future Sunday morning or evening, I think you'll be encouraged worshiping the crucified and risen Jesus with the saints at Ashland Avenue and their modern day Prince of preachers.
