I no longer watch the Network (ABCCBSNBC) News. (I did watch some of their coverage of the Conventions, however--the transparent biases confirmed my decision to "Just Say No!") And I don't have cable, so I'm not able to watch Fox News, CNN, or MSNBC. Virtually all of my information on current events, therefore, is culled from the blogosophere.
If you are looking for good, accurate, cutting-edge reporting on the political events of this season, I'd recommend Hugh Hewitt, Powerline, Captain Ed's Quarters, Instapundit, The Corner, and the Kerry Spot.
