Larry Grossman, former president of NBC News, tells the Wall Stree Journal:
"If the documents are proven to be fake, it will be a terrible, devastating blow." "People will be fired, the program loses its credibility and Dan Rather ends a distinguished career with his reputation besmirched.'"
(Hat tip: Hugh Hewitt)
The question now is: Who will be fired, and when will it happen?
I would be surprised if we don't see at least one person of integrity resign simply out of principle--not for wrongdoing, but because their conscience won't allow them to continue working for a news organization that is involved in a coverup that is manifestly obvious to the watching world.
If Dan Rather had any integrity left, he would resign immediately, rather than continuing to jeopardize the reputation and careers of those he works with.
