I'm happy to announce that Crossway Books will be publishing Pierced for Our Transgressions in North America, due out November 2007.

Who is the author of the book? could you give a little background?
The co-authors are Mike Ovey, Andrew Sach and Steve Jeffery. All 3 are at Oak Hill College in the UK, which is a conservative evangelical Anglican seminary. Ovey was a lawyer, has a PhD in trinitarian theology from King's College London, lectures in Doctrine and is set to become the Principal (that's equivalent to President of a seminary in the States) of the College this Summer. The latter 2 are students at Oak Hill with experience in Christian ministry. Jeffery has a PhD in physics from Oxford University.
And having whizzed through the book, I can assure you that it's excellent. It's fair-minded and winsome while being robust in its treatment, showing how penal substitution is both biblical, indispensable, and despite its ugly-sounding terminology, beautiful.
Are you responsible for Crossway publishing it in the states? It seems strange that an IVP-UK book would be published by someone other than IVP in the US. I'm happy just the same! Please let us know when it ships.
Justin,
Do you know if this book will come in hardback when published by CrossWay?
