99 Balloons

A friend passed along to us this very moving, 6 minute video: 99 Balloons. Here's a short description:
Eliot was born with an undeveloped lung, a heart with a hole in it and DNA that placed faulty information into each and every cell of his body. However, that could not stop the living God from proclaiming Himself through this boy who never uttered a word. You can watch the video here.In the midst of heartbreaking tragedy, the Mooney family found the presence of God strengthening, comforting, and guiding them. Their story reminds us to seek God and endure our struggles rather than blame Him for our hardships.

Justin,
Thanks for linking to this. My wife recently gave birth to our first child. Our baby is healthy and doing fine...just cries a lot. This video was helpful in giving us a divine perspective on our precious little girl. We are doing FAR BETTER THAN WE DESERVE! I'm amazed at the joy those folks had in the midst of much more challenging circumstances than having a baby that's a little fussy. We're convicted of complaining and freshly aware of what a gift our baby is. Thanks.

JT,
This video truly moved me to recount the blessings we have received in our 3 month-old son. He just passed his 99th day as well. Even as I write this I am still weeping, as I think of the miraculous gift we hold in our arms. Everyday I give thanks for him, but even more so now after watching this video. Thanks for posting it.
Mark
Thank You for sharing this link. What a fantastic testament to a faithful God that has allowed this couple to see God's hand in the midst of their trial. By sharing their story with us, they have proclaimed the glory of God. This story has become a great teaching tool for me to use with my children to show them God's faithfulness and to illustrate brokenhearted happiness.
Justin,
Thank you for posting this link. I am still wiping the tears from my eyes... and I am not easily moved to tears...
Having a healthy 3yr old and 5 month old gives this video a lot of perspective. I pray for the Mooney's... and am thankful for the God-centred perspective that they promote...
God gives us people who cannot care for themselves to bless us. In caring for them, we have the opportunity to imitate our Lord who assumed a body of flesh to pay the price for our sins and make alive we who could not free ourselves from our bondage to sin.
