Plantinga Review of Dawkins

5 comments | Permalink
Alvin Plantinga, John A. O'Brien Professor of Philosophy at the University of Notre Dame, is not only the most influential Christian philosopher alive today, but also one of the most respected philosophers of religion from any persuasion. He recently reviewed Richard Dawkins's The God Delusion in Books & Culture.

(HT: Albert Mohler, who provides a summary of Plantinga's critique)

Thanks JT for introducing me to Alvin Plantinga. It was a very good read.

I came across Plantinga in a philosophy class at a secular college taught by an atheist.

Plantinga was a breath of fresh air. His epistemology changed the way that I think about apologetics.

If there is anyone that can make Dawkins' arguments sound juvenile, Plantinga is the man.

If there is anyone that can make Dawkins' arguments sound juvenile, it is Dawkins! He needs little help making a colossal ass of himself, as I see it.

That was, without a doubt, the funniest thing I've seen all week. "The Touchdown Twins of Atheism" (or, if we throw Sam Harris into the mix, "The Three Bears of Atheism")...Plantinga is absolutely hilarious!!!
