Justin, I enjoyed your interview. Thanks for doing it. One question (which I posted there as a comment): wouldn't you agree that BIOGRAPHIES (and more broadly, history) is an important component in a diet of good reading? I find biogrpahies of all sorts helpful and encouraging in so many ways. Just to name two of my favorites: DAWS, the bio of Dawson Trotman, and the Iain Murray bio of Jonathan Edwards.

Justin,
Like my dear brother David, I enjoyed your interview. I was struck by your comment that the only two real options for you are Biblical, orthodox, Christianity and atheistic nihilism. I have said the same thing for years...that these are the only two worldwiews which seem rationally feasible. Francis Schaeffer explored this thought in some detail, and a number of recent writers (Os G. Ravi Z, etc.) touch on this, but I am not familiar with any recentbook (or even essay) that explores this thought with much depth and detail. Has anyone read something which does a good job at making this point?

To JT, and other readers,
What do you think is the best English translation of Augustine's Confessions?

Thanks!

David: I agree that biographies are important. Actually, I wish I read more of them. I'm currently reading the Metaxas bio of Wilberforce.

JC: I think Maria Boulding's translation is quite good.
