Dear Justin and Readers,
These are great lectures! I was a student at WSC during the last year he taught and I have never been the same, ever since. His Biblical Theological approach is both fresh and orthodox, while wonderfully exegetical. Beware, He will blow your mind!
BTW, Dr. Kline offers a very good orthodox alternative to Enn's approach in really wrestling with the human aspect of divine inspiration of Scripture as it relates to the OT. His lectures on the Creation narrative, The Flood, and the covenants and ANE treaties are, in my opinion, the right approach that deals with the hard questions, honestly, while still being orthodox. Enjoy
Justin,
God bless the memory of Meredith Kline, but may the memory of John Murray be blessed fourfold!
I took Dr. Kline's Old Testament Hermeneutics course at Gordon-Conwell back in 1988. It was one of the toughest classes I ever took, but well worth the effort. Kline was a great teacher and a humble man - a true scholar and a gentleman.
